Modus Audiendi is a project of metadesign which focused on becoming sensitive to the smallest sounds of the Nature.
The first natural expression, that I wanted to put the attention on, were the countless sounds of the ground. When we lay our ear on a surface we hear a lot of slights noises probably made by small insects or mechanical vibrations. Therefore, I designed a particular earpiece suitable to hear the sounds of the ground. It is shaped on the ear on one side, instead the external side is modeled to be placed on various surfaces.
The second object is dedicated to water, in particular I chose to design an earpiece to hear raindrops. So, as the one before, it has an ear shape on one side, while the other apt is a conic section which creates an oblique surface where raindrops fall and slide away, making a sort of melody.
